Prepping For Your Puppy

Plan your travel arrangements to SLC airport.

Set up your flight nanny or book your flight as soon as you know the go home date. You have a 4 day grace period to get your puppy home after its planned go home date.

Send me flight details. If you are flying in and I am meeting you at the airport I need flight info early as I will be meeting and arranging other flights for other families. Please make sure I am available for those desired pick up/drop offs. Puppy go home week is a busy time for us so we want to make sure we have our days scheduled correctly.

Schedule your puppies' required check up. Check up needs to be done within 72 hours of receiving your puppy.

Buy your puppies supplies. I will send you my recommended list.

Set up your puppy area.

The day before your puppy comes home sign up for the free 30 day Trupanion coverage. Send us the welcome letter showing it has been done. Your puppy will not be released from our care until insurance has been activated. No exceptions.

Send final payment. Final payment is due 2 weeks before the puppy goes home.

You’ve got your puppy home. Yay! Remember this is a big change for your puppy. Please keep their first week home calm and quiet. Limit visitors. Take the week to bond with your new puppy, help him/her feel safe and comfortable in their new home. Set up a schedule and routine with them from day one.
